2012 LeadAmerica Live Educator Workshops will be held at the following locations:
July 7-14: George Washington University	July 20 – 29: Stanford University / July 22 – 29: University of California, Berkeley
Educators who travel with students to conferences held at either George Washington University or Johns Hopkins University can attend the workshop. Student conferences offered during these dates include: National Leadership Summit, Junior National Leadership Summit, National Security & Intelligence, Medicine & Healthcare, Explore Medicine & Science	Educators who travel with students to conferences held at either Stanford University or University of California, Berkeley can attend the workshop. Student conferences offered these dates include: Business & Entrepreneurship, Medicine & Healthcare, Engineering & Technology

Objectives:

Educators will be able to define the current challenges and opportunities facing the development of college and career ready students.
Educators will analyze the importance of affective factors in shaping learning.
Educators will compare pedagogical practices that impact identified affective factors in the classroom.
Educators will identify pedagogical practices that foster student engagement.
Educators will formulate a practical plan of action to include experiential learning models in their classroom curriculum.
