Your Role as a LeadAmerica Travel-Companion
Travel-Companions help prepare students for the conference experience using LeadAmerica provided materials, help relieve parent fears surrounding their children’s travel to and from the conference location, and continue to serve as mentors following the conference experience. Travel-Companions do not have supervisory or chaperone roles during the conference.
During the conference, Travel-Companions have the opportunity to observe and attend the curricular components that most interest them, taking home ideas that can be incorporated in the classroom. In addition, educator workshops are offered at select venues and program sessions.
Once you have confirmed your participation as a LeadAmerica Travel-Companion, we will send you everything you need to get started. In our Travel-Companion Toolkit, you’ll find all of the resources you’ll need to inform, recruit and enroll students who want to discover their potential, explore their passions, and create their personal pathway toward future success.
