EXPLORE the complex and evolving world of MEDICINE & SCIENCE
Explore careers in healthcare and biological science while you learn about the complex relationship between patients and healthcare providers. Leading researchers, physicians, and educators will expose you to the challenges of providing quality patient care, lead you in discussions on ethical issues in medical science, and instruct you on the processes of patient diagnosis and treatment. Apply the scientific method and critical thinking to evaluate a patient case and determine treatment options.
Experience the dynamics of being a member of a HEALTHCARE TEAM
Practice being part of a team faced with a complex public health challenge. How will you address a public health issue, develop a solution, and communicate it to others? As part of the conference’s thought-provoking simulation, you and your team will work through a community health problem and then present your solution as part of your public health communication plan.
Practice diagnosis and treatment in the MEDICAL SKILLS WORKSHOPS
Students learn valuable skills in the head-to-toe assessment and emergency medical technician instruction workshops, assisting with patient diagnosis and treatment options. This real-world skills training, in addition to the college and career briefings, provides students the ability to make informed decisions on their academic and professional futures.
