Experience the excitement of the HEALTH SCIENCES.
Explore careers in healthcare and biological science while you learn about the complex relationship between patients and the entire medical team. You’ll learn about the communicability of disease and infection and how our body’s natural defenses work to fight against them. And you’ll learn how to conduct patient interviews and evaluations and begin the process of actual diagnosis in the Clinical Case Study. You’ll explore the complexities of First Aid Training in our EMT workshop. And, you’ll be introduced to human skeletal anatomy through a realistic bone mending activity. All of these activities and workshops are grounded in the fundamentals of scientific decision making – a point that is emphasized in an exercise focused on learning the Scientific Method.
