Welcome to Leadership University, the premier forum for transforming today’s most motivated students into tomorrow’s most influential leaders. Leadership University is an in-depth, intensive immersion experience that uncovers true potential and develops lifelong skills - and is specifically geared toward top students from around the globe. Leadership University is designed to tap into your natural potential and teach you specific and tangible skills that you’ll carry forward throughout your high school, college, and professional career.
Nurture, Grow & Test Your Skills
In high school, you learn from textbooks and lectures. At Leadership University, you’ll learn by practicing your team-building skills in realistic, hands-on scenarios. Our role-playing and time-sensitive challenges give you the chance to practice, test, refine, measure, and improve your leadership expertise - a rare and valuable opportunity not available to most high school students. Best of all, you’ll learn to give and receive constructive and timely feedback - tools critical for every successful leader.
Program Highlights
Know what it takes to be a leader — Effective leadership not only requires great personal vision, it requires that you know how to express your vision so that others can see it, believe it, and work with you to achieve it.
At the Leadership University you can:- Learn about leadership and your abilities to influence those around you in your community through service. You’ll be tasked with assisting your team in developing a service project in the conference’s simulation that can then be implemented in your own community.
- Enhance your teambuilding skills during the exciting Leadership Challenge, a “Challenge-by-Choice” ropes course containing high and low elements, group initiatives, and teambuilding activities.
- Work as a team member in hands-on leadership workshops that focus on real life situations that leaders face today.
- Make new friends and meet students from around the country who share your passion to excel and lead others.
- Explore the host university and its surrounding city including Washington DC, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
- Know what it’s like to attend a prominent college or university including Columbia University, DePaul University, University of California at Berkeley, UCLA, and Stanford University.
