Meet
intelligence officers, military leaders
and policy makers and learn about the
complex issues facing our world today.
Get a first-hand look at the ways in
which our government gathers and
uses intelligence to create national
security protocols and form defense
strategies. Discuss and debate the
sensitivities of freedom, privacy
and homeland security.
You'll
explore the roles of domestic agencies
and organizations in
intelligence gathering and analysis,
and how they impact on defense and
national security policy decisions
and explore the key role of the National
Security Advisor. You'll learn how
agencies such as the National Security
Agency, Defense Intelligence Agency,
Department of Homeland Security,
FBI, CIA and Secret Service operate. You’ll
see why inter-agency cooperation
and coordination are so important,
but so hard to achieve. Students
attending the San Diego Conference
will visit and spend a night on the
USS Midway.
