Faculty

LeadAmerica is the nation's premier youth leadership organization. Our mission is to inspire and empower young people to achieve their full potential and to instill in them a sense of purpose, integrity, self confidence and personal responsibility. With a rich history dating back over 20 years, LeadAmerica is committed to educating and empowering young leaders.

Everyone at LeadAmerica is highly supportive and committed to the success of our students. They're enthusiastic and caring and give students the individual attention they need. We purposely keep a low student to staff ratio to ensure that our students receive appropriate supervision and have access to staff whenever they need it.

Faculty
The faculty of LeadAmerica conferences are university and graduate school professors and practicing professionals drawn from each field of study. They are carefully selected to ensure that our students receive the highest quality educational experience. Their role is to bring the core curriculum to life and stimulate thinking and discussion. Our faculty are involved in all aspects of the Conference experience, giving students a chance to spend time with them outside the classroom.

Team Leaders
Our Team Leaders are assigned to groups of 12-18 students and facilitate simulations, discussions and other practical experiences. They inspire our students and serve as positive role models.

Team Leaders are college and graduate level students and adult professionals. Most have academic and/or work experience in the field of study. Many are pursuing degrees in education and have peer counseling, tutorial and leadership experience. In addition to their own experience, Team Leaders receive approximately 40 hours of LeadAmerica training.
